Q Thai Steamboat


If you are a steamboat lover and love thai food, i would definitely suggest you to try the Q Thai Steamboat that located in Taman Dagang Ampang. Paid only RM30, there will be more than 50 types of food you can choose with 'all you can eat' buffet style.



Another thing i love about the restaurant, you may also choose either only the steamboat set or both grill and steamboat set on your table. Fun thing while having your dinner here, you can cook your own food on the table and enjoying it while still hot. When choosing your steamboat soup, there are two types you can choose either spicy or normal and both flavor.



There are also other cuisine you may find in this restaurant which are varieties flavor of ice creams, malay style of deserts, fruits and dumplings.


Taro Wagashi


When you drop by at the Festival City near the junction of Jalan Genting Kelang and Jalan Taman Ibu Kota, another interesting food stall that i would love to suggest is the Taro Wagashi. Considered as a Japanese cuisine, the stall is quite famous for it's Yaki Chicken, Yaki Beef and Yaki Lamb. 


As when you bite the delicious meat, you can taste the juice coming out from the meat as it is not too dry and just cook perfectly. You can even taste the ginger, soya sauce and pepper which is part of the ingredients that been mix with the meat before they perfectly cooked on the grill.  

Sisters Crispy Popiah


Located on 4th floor in Festival City near the junction of Jalan Genting Kelang and Jalan Taman Ibu Kota, you can get Malaysia most famous traditional popiah. The reason why i love about this delight because of it's crunchiness, crispy and the filling that not just healthy but also very delicious to be eat. There are two types popiah available at 'Sisters crispy popiah' which are their normal crispy popiah and egg roll popiah. While the basic ingredients for both popiah are the same which mix of sweet savory turnip, cripy crunch filling and egg crepe.

Chili Crab


Ingredients : 
1. 5 crabs
2. Half spoon of salt
3. A pinch of ajinamoto
4. 10 to 20 dried chilies - soak and wash
5. 6 to 7 garlic
6. 1 onion
7. 2 to 3 inch of ginger
8. Shrimp paste
9. Tamarind paste
10. 2 to 3 lemon grass

First step : 
1. Blend dried chilies, garlic, onion, ginger and shrimp paste together. 

Last step :  
1. Put the pan on the stove, pour some cooking oil and leave it until the heat comes out. 
2. After that, put the blended ingredients in the pan, salt and ajinamoto. Next stir until dried.
3. Later, mix the tamarind paste with water and pour the juice in the pan. Then put the pounded lemon grass with the ingredients and stir for few minutes.
4. Lastly put the crab in the pan and mix together with the ingredients until cook. 
5. When it's done, turn off the stove and serve.

Malay-Style Red Chicken Curry (Ayam Masak Merah)


Ingredients :

1. 1 whole chicken
 

2. 1 spoon of salt










3. A pinch of ajinamoto










4. 3 tomatoes
5. 430 gram tomato paste

6. 1 spoon of turmeric powder











7. 2 or 3 lemon grass






8. 1 onion
9. 5 or 4 garlic
10. 4 inch of galangal
11. 1 inch of turmeric
12. 2 or 3 inch of ginger













13. Half grasp of dried chilies (soak and wash)












Second step :
1. Mix chicken with turmeric powder and salt. Fried the chicken until half cook.

Third step : 
1. Blend the dried chilies, onion, garlic, galangal, turmeric and ginger together to make the paste.
2. Pounded the lemon grass.
3. Cut the tomatoes into four parts.

Last step :
1. Put the pot on the stove and pour to cooking oil until the heat comes out.
2. Then put the paste in the pot, salt, ajinamoto and lemon grass, stir until it cook. Later put the tomato paste in the pot and stir until it dried a little bit.
3. Next put the chicken in the pot and mix together with the ingredients.
4. Lastly put the tomatoes and mix together with all the ingredients. Leave it for few minutes and turn off the stove once it done. Best to be serve when it still hot.

Indian Fish Curry (Malaysian)


Ingredients :
1. 1 onion
2. 5 garlic
3. 1 inch of turmeric
4. 2 inch of ginger
5. Coriander seeds
6. Black pepper
7. Fennel seeds












8. Cinnamon
9. Star anise
10. Cloves
11. Cardamom














12. A pinch of ajinamoto










13. 1 spoon of salt 

14. 1 spoon of curry powder

15. Half handful tamarind













15. Few of dried chilies - wash and soak 
16. Water
17. Fish
18. Round eggplant


Second step : 
1. Blend onion, garlic, turmeric, ginger, dried chilies, black pepper, fennel seeds and coriander seeds. 

Last steps :
1. Put pot on the stove, pour some cooking oil and leave it until the heat comes out.
2. Put the blend ingredients, ajinamoto (exceptional), salt and stir until dry.
3. Then put the cinnamon, star anise, cloves and cardamom, stir for few minutes. 
4. Mix water and tamarind, pour the juice in the pot and leave it until it boil. 
5. Put the fish in the pot and let it cook.
6. Lastly, put the eggplant in the pot and leave it.
7. Once boil, turn off the stove and serve. 




Fried Fish with Flour


Ingredients :
1. 1/2 kg Small fish













2. 50 gm Flour











3. 1 spoon of turmeric powder












4. A pinch of salt











5. Water

Second step : 
1. Mix flour, water, salt and turmeric powder.

Last step :
1. Put pan on the stove, pour cooking oil and leave it until the heat comes out.
2. Dip the fish in the mixing flour and fried it in the pan.
3. Once both side already turn to brown, lift the fish in the plate and serve.

Arrow Head Chips


Ingredients : 
1. 7 gram - Arrow head (peel)
2. Half spoon - Salt
3. 1 bowl - Water

Second step : 
1. Slice the arrow head in the bowl of water mix with salt. 
2. After that toss in the filter and let it dry for few minutes. 

Last step : 
1. Then, pour cooking oil in the pan and leave it until the heat comes out.  
2. Lastly put the sliced arrow head in the pan and cook it until turns brown.
3. Put in the plate and serve once it's cool.

Seafood Fried Rice


Ingredients :

1. 4 cups of rice - Cook and leave it to cool for few minutes. 
2. 1 medium size - Carrot 
3. 2 gram - Baby cabbage. 
4. 1 onion
5. 5 garlic
6. Chilies
7. 28 gram - Prawn
8. 20 gram - Cuttlefish
9. 1 spoon - Salt











10. A pinch - Ajinamoto (Exceptional)











11. 2 eggs











First step : 
1. Peel the prawn and cut the cuttlefish in to three pieces. 
2. Diced the carrot and cut into small pieces the baby cabbage.
3. Chopped the chilies, half onion and garlic. 
4. Sliced the other half onion. 

Last step : 
1. Pour some cooking oil in the pan and leave it until the heat comes out. 
2. Then put the chopped onion, chilies and garlic in the pan. Stir until it cook and turn a little bit brown. 
3. After that, put the slice onion and stir. 
4. Next, put the cuttlefish and prawn in the pan. Stir until it cooks and dry a little bit. 
5. The next step put the diced carrot in the pan. 
6. After few minutes, put the rice in the pan and mix together with all the ingredients. 
7. Lastly break two eggs and and mix together. After the eggs cook together with the fried rice, put the baby cabbage in the pan and stir for few minutes. When the baby cabbage turns a little bit darker, turn off the stove and serve.
